Professor Pal Ahluwalia
FASSA, Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice President, Division of Education Arts and Social Sciences, University of South Australia. His main research interests lie in the areas of African studies, social and cultural theory, in particular, postcolonial theory and the processes of diaspora, exile, and migration.

Professor Ahluwalia will present from his recent book titled: ‘Out of Africa: Post-structuralism’s Colonial Roots’ (London Routledge 2010). He has also authored: Edward Said (London Routledge 2009), and with Bill Ashcroft, 2nd Edition updated and revised. Violence and non-Violence: African Perspectives (London Routledge, 2006).

The event is free and will be followed by light refreshments at the RAGA centre (in the same building).
